A usual day at the MTC consists of sitting in a class room for about 6 hours, and spending the other time studying the scriptures, and Preach My Gospel. Our freetime is technically mealtimes. Speaking of mealtimes, they are great! Because... #1 there are cute Elders walking around everywhere!! EYE CANDY GALORE!! The rules say you can't flirt, but they never said you can't look. It's safe! haha! #2 My classmates aka my district (me, my companion, and 4 other hilarious Elders, who are all going to Independence Missouri) sit together for every meal and talk & laugh. Spending this time all together has really been marvelous because it has helped unify all of us. So... my companion, Sister Ward, and I are complete opposites--different as night and day. The best way to describe it is that I talk a lot, and she is a lot more quiet than me. But, so far, we have been getting along great! I have learned so much from her. Sister Ward came from a small town near Bear Lake, and she only had about 25 people in her graduating class. If, it wasn't for the MTC, we wouldn't have been friends and become as close as we are now. BONUS!! we were supposed to have other sisters in our district, but apparently, we are the only two, so, Sister Ward and I get our whole room to ourselves!! We have gym time everday too :) I love it! We usually play a firece game of volleyball against another district. It's pretty crazy! Mainly, when I am the only sister playing, and there's a bunch of huge Tongan Elders spiking the ball down hard around me haha! But my favorite part of that hour is being able to take off my shoes and let the sand from the court move through my toes. It's the best feeling EVER, especially after walking around the MTC all day. Gym time? Uh... more like spa time!
Yesterday, since it was fast Sunday, my district had a group fast for the people in Missouri, to prepare them for our message. It was so neat to be able to pray for and ponder about people that you don't even know yet. Love has played a huge role in everything these past couple of days. Mondays are my P-Day's and today we got the chance to go to the temple. It was so nice to go and renew myself after a long & crazy week.
Sorry, I don't really have a lot of time to write anymore, just know that I am doing fine :) and that I am busily enjoying my time as a Missionary here at the MTC! Love you all!!!!
