Hey Mom and Dad!! Thank you for all of your letters this past week! I loved them! It was so good to hear from you both! Mom, fourth of July was awesome! We spent it with some members in my ward here in platte city! We had a bbq and shot off fireworks :) It made me miss you all! It reminded me of when we shot off those helicopters my very last night before I entered the MTC <3. Mom, I love your stories about the rattlesnake and the rocks. They were awesome! Dad, I LOVED your letters! They were so inspiring! p.s. the pictures of those cut outs of Nat and I were awesome! Thanks! P.S. I GOT YOUR PACKAGE!!! THANK YOU!
This week has been crazy busy, but it has also been very rewarding! :) We have truly seen the fruits of our labors. My favorite moments are when we are teaching lessons to investigators, and they start to bear testimony about a gospel principle that we have previously taught them in other lessons. Being a missionary is incredible! Hearts are softening and changing right before my eyes! We got a new Mission President this past week! His name is President Vest, and I already adore him & his wife! They came to our zone to meet us, and we also all the chance to have personal interviews with President Vest. He seemed quite nervous though, but, hey, I don't blame him, he has a lot on his plate. Our mission has the largest amount of missionaries than any other area. Also our mission, as we call it, is literally the Alpha and the Omega Mission--where it all began and where it will end (ZION!!) :) A week full of miracles:
M: I am doing really well compared to when I first got here. My first MONTH adjusting to the field was very difficult, but overtime, everything got better. I learned that patience is the key, and it will all get better in time! Today is actually my month mark in the field!! Woohoo! I made it! :)
I: Last week was amazing! We were able to get 3 new INVESTIGATORS! One of our new investigators is an eighty four year old woman named Betty. I absolutely adore her! She is one of the most kind-hearted and loving people I have ever met. Her love for others and her Savior really shows. We also invited our other investigator Angie to be baptized. She said that she isn't ready yet, but would like to still learn more. We told her that it's totally fine that she feels that way and the invitation to be baptized will always be open. Things are looking up for her. :)
R: Sister Bradshaw and I used to say "the struggle is REAL," but NOW we say, "the spirit is REAL!!" We have had so many miracles this week as we prayed to have the spirit with us to guide us to where we needed to be. It was amazing because we always seemed to be exactly where God needed us to be.
A: I love this AREA! I feel so blessed to be a trainee here because everyone is so kind and welcoming. I already feel so at home.
C: My COMPANION and I are BEST FRIENDS! I love her!! She is amazing! I have learned so much from her, and I know that our companionship was meant to be--heaven sent.
L: We have been in contact with a lot of LESS ACTIVES, recently. Caryn Johnson, struggles with coming to church, but she came this week and we were so excited to see her there--I think our hearts did a cartwheel!
E: The sky is my most favorite thing in Missouri! The sunsets are gorgeous, and they bring me so much peace! EVERY little tree, bug, leaf, and flower reminds me of my Savior--his hand of love is imprinted in all of His creations.
The church is true! I would write more, but I am pooped out and want to have time to take a nap haha! Love you all! Thank you all for your letters of support, it means a lot! Have a good week!
